I like trying new things to see what I can learn/do as a journalist. Here are some experiments:

ONgoing experiment:

My colleague Trish Audette-Longo and I have been working on an innovative crowdfunding campaign for our media organization, National Observer,  to raise money for a reporting project in Quebec on racism, Islamophobia and human rights.

We recently launched the campaign on Drip, a new platform by Kickstarter. Our initiative was featured in the Nieman Lab.

If you're interested in seeing what we are doing, check out our Drip page:

Past experiments:

I tried to use Snapchat as an informal way to talk about international news. Every weekend, I made a story of about 3 minutes (16-20 snaps) on a specific international topic ( like Syria's cyberwar or Trump's foreign policy). The feedback I received was very positive. Several people thought it was a nice, informal way to talk about serious issues. I've uploaded some of these stories on Youtube so you can get an idea.

I tried blogging in university to share my opinions and my experience when I went abroad
